Description

14 Wellgate in Lanark is a mid-19th century building that stands three storeys tall and features two bays. The ground floor is finished in painted stucco, while the upper levels are constructed of ashlar stone. An off-centre door is flanked by windows with architraves, and there is a second door located in the east bay. Above, there is a fascia and cornice. The first floor has two windows adorned with moulded architraves, entablatures, and aprons. A cill course runs beneath the windows on the second floor. The building also has an eaves course, straight skews, and end stacks.
