Description

7 Wellgate in Lanark is an earlier 19th century traditional tenement. It features three bays and two storeys, with a shop above and a flat below. The building is constructed of painted squared and snecked tooled rubble, with painted raised ashlar margins and stone cills. The openings have stop-chamfered details, which may have been added in the later 19th century. There is an off-centre right timber panelled door flanked by windows, with an additional window on the far left. The windows are 4-pane timber sash and case. The roof is pitched, covered with grey slates, and has coped end stacks.
