Description

5 Aitken Street in Dalry is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys tall and features three bays. It is constructed from coursed rubble, accented by painted ashlar margins and a plinth. The central entrance has a pilastered doorpiece topped with a cornice and block pediment. All windows are designed with upper sashes that have six panes, with plate glass below. The building includes an eaves course, a cornice, and a blocking course, along with end stacks and a slate roof. To the left, there is a former gabled stable block that has a blind oculus at the gable head. The property also retains its original gatepiers.
