Description
Chapelhill, located at 9 Aitken Street in Dalry, is a mid-19th century building featuring two storeys and three bays. The exterior is constructed from random tooled ashlar with painted dressings. A central pilastered doorpiece is topped with a consoled pediment, and the recessed door includes a fanlight. The ground floor windows are adorned with architraves and entablatures, while the first floor windows are framed in architraves. The building has 12-pane glazing throughout, a cornice, and a blocking course. There are end stacks with octagonal flues and a slate roof. Additionally, the property retains its original retaining wall, and the square-plan chamfered outer and gate piers feature moulded caps.
