Description

5 Broomgate in Lanark is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys tall. It features seven bays facing Broomgate and four bays on Hyndford Place. The structure is made of rubble with dressed ashlar details and quoins. On Hyndford Place, there are three shop windows, two of which have modern glazing, along with a door located in the right-centre bay. Above, there are four windows with astragals. The building has a curved angle at the southwest corner. On Broomgate, all shop windows are modern, and there are seven windows on the first floor. The building has straight skews and a slate roof.
