Description
The Manse at Abbeygreen Church in Lesmahagow is a mid-19th century building that features a church alongside a manse. Both structures are constructed of rubble with contrasting ashlar dressings and slate roofs.
The church has a symmetrical, two-level, three-bay gabled front facing the street, designed in a Gothic style. The central section, which includes the main door, is treated like a tower, with a belfry stage above the gable head.
The manse is two stories high with three bays and a central door framed by rusticated pilasters. It has canted windows on the ground floor and sash windows throughout, with lying panes on the first floor. The roof is broad-eaved and piended. There is also a boundary wall to the street, featuring ashlar gatepiers.
