39-41 Kirk Street, Strathaven

39-41 Kirk Street in Strathaven is a mid-19th century building featuring two storeys and an attic, arranged in three bays. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar with margins and rusticated quoins. The central entrance is framed by a lugged architrave topped with a cornice. To the right of the door is a sash window, while to the left, there is a door and a shop window situated beneath a shop fascia. On the first floor, there are three sash windows. The building has an eaves course and cornice, with a canted piended dormer on the left side. It also has end stacks and a slate roof.

At the rear, a single-storey cottage located in Corney's Close serves as a wing. This cottage features a door with a fanlight, a window in the curved right bay, and a single window to the left. There is a segmental-headed pend at the extreme left, along with an eaves course and cornice, a single stack, and a slate roof.
