Description

The greenhouse at Belleisle Estate on Doonfoot Road in Ayr dates from the late 19th century and features a rectangular plan. It has a sandstone base and a timber and iron glazed frame. There are steps leading to entrances on each elevation, with glazed pedimented entrances on the northwest and southeast sides. The roof is piended with an upper piended section and includes a lantern ridge topped with iron finials.

Inside, the greenhouse has tiled pathways and decorative iron spandrels.
