Description
15, 17, and 19 Newmarket Street is an early 19th-century, three-storey, three-bay tenement that includes a shop on the ground floor. The building features painted render and has a consoled cornice above the shop, along with an eaves course. The windows on the first and second floors have painted margins.
On the northwest elevation, there is a central recessed entrance leading to a modern shopfront on the ground floor, which includes a modern aluminium glazed door with a letterbox fanlight and flanking shop windows. The first and second floors have regular fenestration, with deep aprons beneath the second-floor windows. The first-floor windows are four-pane timber sash and case, while the second-floor windows are modern tilt and turn. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a stack on the right with circular cans.
The interior was not seen in 1998.
