Description

Circa 1820. 2-storey, 3-bay classical house with flanking wings. Coursed sandstone. Vermiculated base course; band course above; central dividing band course; 1st floor cill course; eaves course; cornice; blocking course; strip pilasters.

NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: balustraded steps to pedimented, Greek Doric columned porch; 2-leaf timber door; letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor; regular fenestration at both floors to flanking bays (apron panels to ground floor windows). Bipartite windows to single storey linking bays to outer right and left; blind arched niches to pedimented, ball-finialled advanced wings.

SW ELEVATION: bay to right of ground floor obscured by single storey wing (see above), window to flanking bay to left, regular fenestration to 1st floor.

SE ELEVATION: not seen 1999.

NE ELEVATION: bay to left of ground floor obscured by single storey wing (see above), window to flanking bay to right, regular fenestration to 1st floor.

Predominantly plate glass timber sash and case windows. Slate piend roof; corniced wallhead stacks; polygonal cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALL: square-plan gatepiers to entrance to left; coped rubble boundary wall encloses site.
