Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, basement and attic, 5-bay pair of houses forming part of terrace. Coursed sandstone rubble. Painted ground floor band course; cornice; blocking course. Painted margins to window openings.

NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: stepped platts oversail basements to 2 entrances to penultimate bays to outer left and right; lower plain margined entrance to left; timber door; single window aligned above at 1st floor; pilastered, corniced and block-pedimented doorpiece to right; raised central panel to block-pediment; 2 deeply recessed timber doors within segmental arch; single window aligned above at 1st floor; single windows to remaining bays at ground and 1st floor. Central timber glazed doors with flanking windows at basement to left and right. 4 single dormers at attic; 2 at centre, closely spaced.

Predominantly plate glass timber sash and case windows; 12-pane to outer left at ground floor; split at 1st floor to penultimate bay to right; modern glazing at basement. Grey slate roof; coped brick stacks; circular cans.
