Description
Dye Neuk is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that is part of an irregular terrace. It is constructed from harl-pointed whin and sandstone rubble, with rubble dressings and sandstone cills that are painted at the ground level.
The southeast elevation, which is the entrance side, features a centrally located two-leaf boarded timber door with a two-pane letterbox fanlight above it. There are single windows on both floors in the flanking bays.
The northwest elevation, which is the rear, was not visible during the 1997 inspection. The house has six-pane replacement timber casement windows and a grey slate roof with raised stone skews and a moulded skewputt on the right side. The rainwater goods have been replaced.
The interior was not seen during the 1997 inspection. In front of the house, there is a cobbled path that forms part of a continuous stretch leading to the front of the terrace.
