Elevation to Market Place: two storey and attic, three bay, harled with ashlar dressings. Centre door with later 19th century shop-front to right, similar shop-front inserted around 1900 to left. The first floor's outer windows were enlarged to bipartites, the lintel to centre window (re-used) bears date and above this a mediaeval roof-boss from Melrose Abbey was inserted when the wall-head was raised around 1900.
