Cart Shed And Granary, Duncanhaugh

The Cart Shed and Granary at Duncanhaugh is an early 19th-century building featuring a range of four cart sheds with a granary loft above. It is constructed from whinstone rubble, with sandstone voussoirs.

On the east elevation, there are four segmental cart arches arranged in a pattern of one, one, and two. To the outer right, there is a pedestrian door and a boarded door. Below the eaves of the granary, there are six small glazed and shuttered openings. An earlier lower range is attached at right angles, but it is not included in the listing.

The west (rear) elevation has two doors leading to the granary loft, which break the eaves of the piended roofs. These are boarded doors, and there are four smaller openings located just under the eaves.

The south elevation features a blank gable, while the north elevation has a corrugated-iron lean-to and a lower range adjoining at right angles.

Inside, the building contains timber hay-hecks and a trough.
