Description
Greystones is an early 19th century terraced cottage located on Main Street in Allanton, featuring a single storey with an attic and three bays. The exterior is constructed from whinstone and sandstone rubble, with droved ashlar irregular tails and dormerheads.
The west elevation facing the street has a boarded door in the center, which includes a glazed upper panel. There is a window on each side of the door, with an additional window in the attic above that breaks the eaves, topped with a gabled dormerhead.
The windows are plate glass timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with slate, and there are brick mutual stacks. The skews are coped with ashlar.
The interior was not seen in 1996.
