Description
Dassfauld is a late 18th century cottage with early 20th century additions, located on the main street of Broughton. It is a single-storey, three-bay, symmetrical, L-plan structure featuring canted bay dormer windows. The exterior is constructed of squared coursed whinstone rubble, complemented by sandstone quoins and margins, while the rear elevation is painted and rendered. There are early 21st century patio doors at the back of the cottage.
The entrance features a half-glazed bi-fold timber door with a pen-light above. The windows are timber sash and case with an 8-pane glazing pattern. The cottage has small grey graded slate roofs, a corniced ashlar stack with octagonal clay cans, and slated dormers with timber side cheeks. The rear section has a corrugated roof. The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 2011.
