Description

Later 19th century with later additions and alterations. Single storey with attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan cottage terminating terrace. Cement rendered with whinstone and sandstone rubble to rear with droved sandstone ashlar dressings. Base course; Tudor-style hoodmoulds to each opening to principal elevation; rusticated quoins.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: boarded door to centre with 2-pane fanlight above. Window to each flanking bay.

S ELEVATION: gabled with window at ground and attic to right.

W ELEVATION: not seen fully, 1996. Lean-to glazed addition to centre; lean-to addition in bay to left; blank bay to right.

6-pane timber sash and case windows to E and S elevations. Slate roof with purple slate fishscale bands to E. Coped ashlar skews with scroll-bracketed skewputts. Modern box dormer at centre of W pitch. Brick wallhead stack to apex of S elevation.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1996.
