Description
1 Simon Square in Kelso is a mid-19th century building featuring four bays and two storeys, along with an attic and basement. The entrance door is off-centre on the ground floor and is accessed by steps. The exterior is constructed of coursed squared rubble with raised ashlar at the corners and around the window margins. There is a band-course between the ground and first floors, and a block eaves-course. The roof is slated and includes two segmental-headed attic dormers, with a straight skew to the south and a piended roof to the north. The elevation facing Woodmarket has two bays, with a blocked door to the left and a single attic dormer that has a straight skew to the west.
