Description
50 and 52 Woodmarket in Kelso is a mid-19th century building that stands three stories high and features five bays with continuous pilasters on the ground floor. This level previously housed three shops, each with doors leading to the residential areas above. The left-hand former shop has a blocked central door, and new 12-pane double-sash windows have been installed in all the original shop window openings. The upper floors are constructed of coursed squared rubble, accented with raised polished ashlar around the windows and at the corners. The building has a block eaves-course, straight skews, and a slated roof.
