Description
17 Horsemarket in Kelso is a mid 19th century building that stands three storeys tall and features five bays. The ground floor has a later fascia at No 17 and an Edwardian shop front at No 13. A continuous cornice over the ground floor is preserved at the central bays. The upper floors are constructed of coursed squared rubble with polished dressings. The first floor windows are adorned with corniced architraves, while the second floor windows have a cill-band and raised margins. The building has a bracketted eavescourse, moulded skewputs, and a slated roof with brick stacks.
