Description

Earlier 19th century. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Painted coursed

rubble, painted quoins and raised margins. Slight

projection to central bay with pilaster panels and

segmental arch to wide pend. Flanking shop fronts with

central pilastered doors and cornices above (that to No

44 now behind modern fascia). No 50 narrower with

additional pilaster to left window. Cill course and 5

windows to 1st floor, some with original lying-pane

glazing. Central bay has wallhead stack rising from

corniced parapet, with flanking scrolled brackets. Slate

roof. 2 rounded stair towers at rear.
