Description

  1. Symmetrical, 2-storey 3-bay police station. Coursed stugged cream sandstone ashlar with polished dressings; raised margins, rolled arrises. Base course. Panelled door at centre with 3-pane rectangular fanlight, roll-moulded architrave and cornice; panel above inscribed COUNTY POLICE OFFICE 1895. Flanking bays with pairs of windows. 1st floor windows breaking eaves with pedimented dormerheads; moulded cill

Timber sash and case windows; 12-pane single windows, 8-pane bipartites. Ashlar coped skew and corniced stack; terracotta ridge tiles; grey slates.
