Description
Cottage 3 at Primsidemill is a mid to later 18th century, two-storey, four-bay house that forms the end of a short terrace. The exterior is harled and features timber lintels and a battered base course.
On the south elevation, there is a modern timber and glass porch in the third bay, with a boarded main door. A secondary doorway is located in the first bay, featuring a deep-set stable door. There is a canted window at ground level in the outer right bay and a single window above it on the first floor. The second bay also has single windows, while the first-floor windows are positioned under the eaves.
The east elevation has a single window offset to the right on the first floor.
Additionally, there is an outbuilding that appears to be contemporary, which is a piend-roofed rubble structure to the south with a rectangular plan. The cottage features a variety of glazing patterns, predominantly in sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there is a brick gablehead stack on the east side.
