Description
Cottage 1 at Primsidemill dates from the mid to later 18th century and has undergone some alterations. It is a two-storey, three-bay symmetrical end of terrace house finished in white harling. The building features a battered base course and timber lintels at the ground level.
On the south elevation, the bays are grouped towards the center, with a doorway located at the center. This doorway has a deep-set boarded door, and there are single windows on the first floor above the hard under eaves. The windows are 9-pane sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slate and has broad harled stacks at both the east and west ends, along with thackstanes.
