29, 30 Market Square, Duns

29 and 30 Market Square in Duns is a late 18th-century building featuring two storeys and an attic, designed as a three-bay shop with a flat above. The exterior is rendered and lined with painted margins, and there is a base course at the bottom. The bays are arranged to the right, with a three-bay shop on the ground floor that has a central door flanked by large plate glass windows. Each bay on the upper floors has a window, with rounded arrises on the first floor. There is a piend-roofed dormer on the left side.

To the left, a harled gabled return abuts the Swan Hotel, while to the right, there is a plate glass shop window. The central entrance features a panelled door with a fanlight above and windows, although the second floor window is blind. The building has timber sash and case windows, with plate glass on the front and multi-pane windows on the return. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped skews and a rendered stack at the apex.
