Knapdale, 11 Eastend, Lochwinnoch

Knapdale, located at 11 Eastend in Lochwinnoch, is a house that combines an early 19th century structure with a cottage added around 1870, now functioning as a single residence. Both sections are constructed from rubble, featuring squared quoins and margins. The earlier part of the house is two storeys high with three bays, highlighted by a central doorpiece with pilasters. The later addition is a single storey with an attic, also comprising three bays; the two outer bays project and are gabled, while the central bay includes a latticed porch with a swept roof. The ground floor has tripartite windows, and there are attic windows in the gabled bays, which are adorned with simple bargeboards and finials. The house has end stacks and is topped with slate roofs.
