Description
38-40 Oakshaw Street is a house built around 1830. It has three bays and is two stories high with an attic on the south side, and three stories with an attic on the north side. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features raised angle strips. The south side has a doorpiece with pilasters and a cornice, leading to a double-leaf panelled door. The windows are 2-pane sashes, and there is an eaves cornice along with a blocking course. The roof is slate, with straight skews, corniced end stacks, and two canted dormers. On the north elevation, there is a three-story canted window on the left and tripartite windows on the right.
