Description

John Honeyman, architect. Dated 1884. Square tower.

Chanelled ashlar over plinth, up to impost moulding of

voussoired arched surround to recessed door. Polished

ashlar to blind upper parts. Doric freize and mutule cornice

supporting the balustrade. Circular observation drum with

oculi, cornice and copper dome. Octagonal, domed turret

attached. 2-storey 2-bay side wing at left set slightly

back. Ground floor detailed as tower below impost. Round-

headed doorpiece and sash window. 1st floor 2 sash windows

with eaves band, cornice and blocking course. Piended

slate roof with end stack.
