Description

John Honeyman, architect. 1871. 2-storey and basement,

3-bay symmetrical house. Ashlar, polished at front

stugged with polished dressings at sides and rear.

Double-leaf panelled door with round-arched fanlight and

surround, flanked by pilasters under consoled cornice,

flanking architraved tripartite windows with consoled

cornices and moulded cills. Band course at cornice level.

1st floor 4-pane sash windows in architraves with panels

below. String course below wide eaves on wooden brackets.

piended slate roof with corniced stacks in centre.

Sides and rear detailed similarly to front except windows.

Rear elevation displays variety of glazing including

full-height canted bays at right, arcaded staircase

window. Modern porch to basement. Single-storey ashlar

extension to north elevation.

Interior: Entrance hall has light oak Jacobean woodwork.

Balustrade to steps approaching front door.
