Description

John Honeyman, architect 1876. Renaissance. 3-storey, 3-bay

symmetrical offices and dwelling. Ashlar. Ground floor

altered except centre entrance with recessed arch behind

paired Ionic fluted columns and unfluted pilasters supporting entablature, cornice of which continues across ground

floor. 1st floor central window architraved with consoled

segmental pediment, flanked by tripartites lights divided

by Corinthian columns with pilasters at sides supporting

entablature with triangular pediment over middle element.

Ornamented frieze and cornice over 1st floor forms cill

course of 2nd where central sash and outer tripartites

are all architraved and corniced. Modillioned eaves cornice

and blocking course. Slate roof and corniced stacks.
