88 Renfrew Road, Paisley

88 Renfrew Road is an early 19th-century semi-detached pair of houses. They are symmetrical, two-storey buildings with dormerless attics, each featuring three bays and two-storey single bay wings. The exterior is made of painted ashlar with contrasting dressings, and pilasters mark the party wall and the break with the wings. The houses have pilastered and corniced doorpieces, and the windows on both floors are architraved with cornices at the ground level. There is an eaves band and a cornice with a blocking course. The slate roof has straight skews and end centre chimneystacks, while the wings are treated as part of the main block, although one window is blocked. The rear elevations are constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring projecting staircase bays with modern forestairs and porches.
