The Old Manse, Main Street, Invergowrie

The Old Manse, located on Main Street in Invergowrie, is a former manse built in 1849. This two-storey building, which also has a later attic, features a rectangular plan and includes a lower two-storey service wing at the rear. The exterior is harled with a slate roof. The front has painted margined windows, with 12-pane sash and case frames, and plate-glass windows in the mansard attic at the rear. The front also displays painted quoin strips, coped skews, and corniced stacks.

On the south elevation, there is a central panelled door with a border-glazed fanlight, framed by a plain margined doorcase and a consoled pediment. There are windows on either side of the door and three windows on the first floor. The east gable features a later lean-to on the right and a window on the first floor to the left. The west gable has a ground floor window that is secured with bars. The north gable includes two ground floor windows (also with security bars) and one first floor window on the main elevation, along with three dormers in the tile-hung attic. The service wing is advanced to the centre and contains various doors and windows beneath a half-piended roof.
