Description
The building known as Steading at Dron Farm dates back to 1751 and has had later additions. It features a quadrangular plan and is mostly in ruins, although the cart-shed and granary range on the east side are intact. The construction is made of rubble with squared rubble quoins and has a piended slate roof.
On the east elevation, there are six flat-segmental cart-arches in the center, with doors located at the far left and right. There are eight granary openings symmetrically placed at a later first floor. The right return gable has forestairs leading to a granary door, which features a doorcase made of re-used moulded ashlar. The left return gable includes a window and a hayloft door.
The north elevation shows the remains of a range with various openings, and the roof is partly intact. The south elevation has the remains of a range on the left with various openings, and a door on the right that features a dated lintel.
