Description
Bankhead, located on Bowerswell Road in Perth, is a mid-19th century building, likely designed by Andrew Heiton. It showcases a Jacobethan style reminiscent of Burn School and is constructed from rubble. The west front features advanced end sections, with the northern section having a straight gable and a ground floor canted bay, while the southern section has a shaped gable and a corbelled chimney breast. There is one window at the center with a dormerhead gablet above it. A two-storey porch projects from the angle of the southern front, featuring a gothic arch on the ground floor and a V-plan oriel on the first floor. The property is complemented by ashlar gatepiers and a rubble-built garden wall that partly retains the surrounding area.
