Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic symmetrical house of rectangular plan with modern 2-storey additions to N side and rear elevations. Stugged ashlar principal front, rubble side elevations with stugged and droved ashlar dressings.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: projecting, pedimented, ashlar porch centred at ground; 4-panel timber door with plate glass fanlight above, 3-pane fixed-lights in sides. Wyatt windows at ground and 1st floors in flanking bays; narrow round-arched window in gablehead breaking eaves in centre bay.

S ELEVATION: single window to left of centre at ground; window above and in bay to right; small window centred in gablehead.

Modern glazing throughout. Purple-grey slate roof with piend-roofed, slate-hung canted timber dormers to E pitch. Lead roof to porch. Stugged ashlar apex stacks, corniced, with octagonal cans. Ashlar skew copes with bracketted skewputts.

BOUNDARY WALLS: random rubble walls to N and S of garden. Square rubble gatepiers to S gate with droved pyramidal caps; slatted timber gate.
