10 Commercial Street Including Torrie's Lodberry, Lerwick

10 Commercial Street, including Torrie's Lodberry, is a house dating from around 1730. It is a 2-storey and attic structure with a rectangular plan and features three bays. The walls are harled, with chamfered sandstone margins around the openings and sandstone drips at the window lintels. The bays are widely and irregularly spaced, with a blank bay on the ground floor to the left, a centrally located 2-leaf vertically-boarded timber entrance door, and a chamfered corner on the ground floor to the right. The rear elevation has four bays, with a blank bay on the east gable and windows on all floors in the bay to the left.

The house has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, although the ground floor of the rear elevation has modern glazing. The roof is covered in purple-grey slate, with harled and coped apex stacks featuring moulded circular red cans, as well as harled and coped crowsteps.

The boundary wall consists of a random rubble wall to the east and north of the garden at the rear, along with a coursed rubble sea wall that has a random rubble parapet and a timber-infilled opening at the center.
