Rosslyn House, Glasgow Road , Perth

Rosslyn House, built in 1858 by Andrew Heiton, is a plain neo-Jacobean building located on Glasgow Road in Perth. It features a symmetrical three-storey front made of coursed rubble. The central three bays include a tripartite doorpiece, a central dormer on the second floor, and a timber and lead spirelet that flanks gabled bays with corbelled octagonal chimney shafts. The house has two-storey canted bays and five bay links to two window advanced gables at each end. The sub-centres are advanced and gabled, also featuring tripartites on the lower two floors. The roofs are slated, and the windows have small panes, although the chimney heads have unfortunately been shortened.
