Bowerswell, Bowerswell Road, Perth

Bowerswell, located on Bowerswell Road in Perth, is an Italianate building constructed in 1848, likely by Andrew Heiton & Son. This two-storey structure is made of finely detailed ashlar stone and features an asymmetrical design, highlighted by a three-storey entrance tower at the northeast and a service court at the northwest.

The tower on the northeast front includes an arched doorpiece with a first-floor balustraded balcony supported by console-cantilever brackets. Above, there are single arched windows on the top floor and a broad-eaved, low-pitched pyramid roof. The southeast front showcases an asymmetrical gable with a canted bay that has a consoled first-floor balcony and a decorative cartouche above the first-floor window. The southern bay is tripartite and features a cartouche parapet, while the southwest front includes two canted bays.

The northwest wing is notable for its consoled window and niche features. The building is topped with broad-eaved slated roofs and square-shafted chimneys. Surrounding the property are rubble garden walls with gatepiers.
