Hamilton House, Glasgow Road, Perth

Hamilton House, located on Glasgow Road in Perth, was designed by Andrew Heiton around 1865 and showcases a mid-Victorian Italianate style. This two-storey building features an asymmetrical main front facing east, highlighted by a central projecting gable that includes a three-window cast-iron balconied bow. At the south re-entrant angle, there is a three-storey tower with three arched windows on the top stage and a broad-eaved low-pitched pyramid roof. The entrance is marked by an arched porch with a balustraded parapet and an urn situated in the re-entrant angle of the tower. The ground floor has segment-headed windows, while the first floor features round-arched windows. The building is topped with a broad-eaved slated roof. At the rear, there are two single-storey wings and a central archway leading to a court. Additionally, there is a single-storey and basement cottage attached to the garden wall, which includes a double-arched feature at the basement level.
