Description

Viewlands House, located at 25 Viewlands Road in Perth, dates from around 1840 and is a late classical villa. It is a two-storey building with three windows, constructed of ashlar stone.

The central bay of the house is slightly set forward and features a channelled ground floor. It has an Ionic columned porch with a balustraded parapet, flanked by bay windows. On the first floor, there are three architraved windows, two of which are tripartite. The main cornice serves as a blocking course. The central bay also has a balustraded parapet supported by scrolls, with sphinxes positioned above the outer windows. The roof is slated and includes two modern dormers. The gables have two windows each, with small attic Venetian windows, and there is a recent extension at the rear. The property is enclosed by rubble garden walls.
