Description

Earlier 19th century with later alterations and additions. 2-storey 5-bay rectangular-plan asymmetrical house with single storey pitched addition and slipway to E. Pointed, roughly coursed rubble.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set timber panelled door at ground in bay to left of centre; window at 1st floor above. Window at 1st floor in bay to outer left. window at ground in bay to centre. Window at each floor in bay to right of centre. Window at ground in bay to outer right.

E (SEAWARD) ELEVATION: timber-framed single storey addition offset to right at ground; central enlarged window at 1st floor; gablehead stack above.

8-pane timber sash and case windows at 1st floor; small pane timber windows with top-hung upper lights at ground. Purple Welsh slate roof; stone ridge; concrete skews; rubble corniced gablehead stacks to E and W; cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.

QUAY AND SLIPWAY: Caithness flagstones to small, rectangular-plan quay; rubble slipway from NE angle.
