20 Alfred Street in Stromness is a house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is a single-storey building with an attic, featuring a rectangular plan and crowstepped gables. The house is positioned at right angles to number 24 Alfred Street, with its entrance located on the south elevation, which is currently inaccessible. The exterior is harled, and it has fixed small-paned timber-framed windows.
