Description
35 Albert Street in Kirkwall is a single-storey house dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations. It has a symmetrical, rectangular plan with three bays and crowstepped gables. The house is located in a close off the west side of Albert Street, adjacent to Number 35A on the right and Number 37 on the left, neither of which is listed. The exterior is harled with cement margins around the openings.
On the north (principal) elevation, there are steps leading up to a deep-set modern door that is part-glazed, located in the central bay. There is a window in each of the flanking bays. The windows are timber-framed with top-hung upper lights. The roof is covered with grey slate and features a stone ridge, with uPVC rainwater goods.
The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1998.
