Description

Dated 1878. Greek revival chapel. Rubble sides and rear, ashlar front with base course, dividing pilasters, impost course, channelled voussoirs and ashlar eaves course; round-arched openings.

Paired doors to centre with columns flanking and crocketed capitals; 3-light arcaded window above with colonnette-mullions and flanks with annulets; carved semicircular panel in gablehead and large anthemion finial carved at apex; flanking bays with tall windows with cills at impost level of doors.

Side elevations with blank bay towards rear and 4 tall windows to remainder of elevation. Wheel window to rear chimneyheaded gable, border-glazed window.

Horizontal-pane windows with plate glass panes to lower sections of taller windows under loft gallery. Grey slates; brick stack to rear gable; remains of former metal ridge ventilators.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.
