Dunn Memorial Hall, 7 Union Street, Largs

Dunn Memorial Hall is a mid-19th century building that features a symmetrical two-storey house connected to a later single-storey hall on the east side. The exterior is harled with ashlar dressings. The original house has an altered door with splayed reveals and a segmental-headed double fanlight in the right bay. On the ground floor, there are two mullioned and transomed windows, and a window in the slightly advanced central gabled bay has a hood-mould. A string course runs above the ground floor.

On the first floor, there is a central hood-moulded recessed blank panel situated between two narrow lights, which have a stepped linking cill band. The gable features a round-headed opening. The outer bays contain single windows with gabled dormer heads. The building has moulded skews with flat skewputts.

The hall to the east has a tall central panel inscribed with "Dunn Memorial Hall," along with an oculus and a stepped gable. This is flanked by hoodmoulded, segmental-headed tripartite windows that have small square blank plaques above them. The hall also features a bracketed cornice and rain pipes and guttering that are decorated with a simple floral design. The roof is slate-covered, and there is a gabled hall at the rear.
