Description
Mill Knitwear, located at 47 Main Street in Largs, is a building from the mid 19th century. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar, with a modern glass and mosaic ground floor. There is a continuous cornice above the ground floor, and the first-floor windows are framed with architraves that include a cill band and cornicing. The windows feature plate glass sashes.
The building has an eaves course and cornice, with straight skews and end stacks, although the stack on the right side has been partially removed. The roof is slate. Additionally, there are two gable-end bays facing Bellman's Close, which also contain plate glass sashes.
