Bank Of Scotland, 30 Main Street, Largs

The Bank of Scotland, located at 30 Main Street in Largs, is a two-storey and attic building dating from around 1860. It features a curved corner design with an altered granite ground floor and polished ashlar above. The ground floor is pilastered, with the main entrance positioned at the angle of the building. A continuous fascia and cornice run over the ground floor.

On the first floor, there are two windows facing Bath Street and three windows on Main Street, along with four windows that have recessed margins along the curve. The building has sash windows with original glazing, although some are partly obscured by signs. There is a cornice and blocking course above the windows, and the parapet of the curved bays includes a central wall-head, a corniced stack, terminal dies with acroteria, and scrolled brackets. The roof is slate, and there is one later dormer added.
