Description
17 and 19 Wilson Street in Beith is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay terraced villa. The building features a central door flanked by later shop entrances and shop windows on the left and right sides. Above the door, there is a central pediment, although the stack is missing. The exterior is finished with lined render that has painted margins and raised cills, and there is an eaves course. The right gable has a part brick and part ashlar end stack, which is a later addition.
On the northwest (rear) elevation, there is a semicircular stair tower and a later, oversized box dormer to the right. The central window on the first floor retains an original 12-pane sash and case design, with flanking 4-pane windows. There are also two original windows on the rear first floor. The roof has grey slates on the left half, while the right half is covered with non-traditional felt tiles, and there is a stone ridge.
The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 2003.
