Helensburgh 29, 31 Campbell Street

Helensburgh 29 and 31 Campbell Street is a villa built in 1830, featuring two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical rectangular plan and a deep curved stair tower at the rear. The building is constructed from cream and red sandstone rubble, accented with polished ashlar dressings, and includes base and eaves lintel courses along with quoin strips.

On the south entrance elevation, there is a central doorpiece with a cornice and architrave, featuring a fanlit panelled door and flanked by windows. The first floor has three windows arranged symmetrically. The east side elevation has a window at both the ground and first floors, positioned centrally.

The north rear elevation showcases a curved stair tower that projects off-centre to the left, with a door to the northeast and windows on both the outer right and left sides. There is also a lower single-storey wing with a flat-roofed projection to the north.

The villa features a variety of windows, including four-pane and twelve-pane sash and case windows, as well as modern replacement windows. The roof is modern and tiled, with two gabled dormers on the south elevation and rendered stacks at the gables. The interior has not been seen.
