37 Wilson Street, Beith

37 Wilson Street in Beith is a single-storey, three-bay classical villa built in the later 19th century. The front features a central door with pilasters and an entablature, flanked by windows set in slightly advanced bays. These windows have stop-chamfered roll-moulded reveals, raised cills, and entablatures. The building has a slightly battered base course, raised angle margins, and a cornice with a blocking course that projects over the windows and door. The exterior is finished in painted stugged coursed sandstone with painted ashlar margins.

On the west (rear) elevation, the villa includes a single storey and attic. There is one gabled dormer on the left with sawtooth skews, and one late 19th-century piended canted dormer. The windows are timber sash and case replacements in a traditional style, featuring 6-pane upper sashes and 9-pane lower sashes, while uPVC windows are present at the rear. The roof is covered with grey slates and has sawtooth skews, a stone ridge, and cavetto corniced ashlar end stacks with moulded octagonal clay cans.

Inside, the villa features a cast-iron balustrade with a mahogany handrail on the staircase, an original timber chimneypiece with a cast-iron insert, and timber panelled doors with six fields on the ground floor and four fields on the attic doors.
